The Peabody Awards Collection consists almost entirely of copyrighted material. If you are interested in something from this collection please check if it is available directly from the copyright holder.
We do make copies of newsfilm, home movies, town films, and some other collections upon request, without the need for copyright holder permission. Please contact us directly for that information.
Research & Stock Footage
Producers and researchers can order stock footage from the collections at Walter J. Brown Media Archive & Peabody Awards Collection by contacting Ruta Abolins at the archive at email@example.com or 706-542-4757. Please indicate the topic and how the material will be used; the archives states the procedure for ordering and the fees charged by the archives for use. Reuse of moving and still images, including those found on the Walter J. Brown Media Archive & Peabody Awards Collection website, requires permission.
A fee is charged for screeners from certain collections; in general, the ocst is $20.00 per item. Screeners are made available via download with embedded watermark and timecode.
If it is necessary to go to an outside vendor for duplication, laboratory or facility will be specified by the Walter J. Brown Media Archives & Peabody Awards Collection. All costs of duplication must be paid by client. If an item must be digitized to higher resolution, such as 16mm newsfilm, a lab fee of $250.00 will be charged for each clip.
Unless a waiver is received, the completed work must carry the following credit:

A copy of the completed work must be donated to the Walter J. Brown Media Archives & Peabody Awards Collection.
