Scope and Content Note: This is a public affairs program produced by Mike Pasquale at the UGA Georgia Center for Continuing Education studios in 1992 and 1993.
Biographical Note: William R. "Bill" Shipp (1934-2023) was a Georgia political journalist, writing for the Atlanta Constitution and broadcasting television programs on WAGA (The Georgia Gang), and GPB (Bill Shipp's Journal), as well as creating an online publication, Bill Shipp's Georgia. Bill Shipp earned a degree at the University of Georgia and was editor of the campus newspaper, The Red and Black. He was fired as its editor when he advocated that UGA integrate.
