Scope and Content Note: Includes recordings related to the Special Collections Libraries, Student Learning Center (Zell Miller Learning Center), GIL Users Group, and library events.
Biographical Note: Dr. William Potter was the associate dean at Arizona State University Library when he was hired in 1989 as the Director of the UGA Libraries. He was one of the chief movers behind the establishment of GALILEO (the statewide electronic library that allows academic, public, technical and school libraries Georgia to share electronic databases) and the Digital Library of Georgia  project. He also was a driving force behind the creation of the Zell B. Miller Learning Center and the Special Collections Libraries Building.
