This collection contains films, videos, and radio spots produced by the Atlanta Gas Light Company from the 1950s through 1970s. It includes home movies of company events, training and promotional films, commercials, and footage of the Mrs. Georgia Pageant in the 1960s.

Audio field recordings made in coastal and North Georgia by Art Rosenbaum, primarily between 1976 and 1983, with one each from 1955 and 1966. Musicians were recorded in their homes and churches. Some oral histories are included along with performances. Genres represented include old-time string band music, gospel, ballads, blues, work songs, shout songs, banjo picking, and religious singing. Performers include the McIntosh County Shouters, Howard Finster, Neal Pattman, Gordon Tanner, Joe Rakestraw, Jake Staggers, the Eller Brothers with Ross Brown, Doc and Lucy Barnes, and W. Guy Bruce.

Living Atlanta by Radio Free Georgia Broadcasting Foundation consists of audiotapes on Atlanta topics including race relations, World War II, Gone With The Wind, Black civic and social life, Atlanta's Jewish community, and unions and strikes.

The collection consists of audio of "Reflections on Georgia" that were produced for broadcast on WUGA on old farm ways, saints and spirits, etc. Also included is audio of "Folklore in Georgia" featuring performances of local folk musicians including Howard Finster. "Bicentennial Minutes" features information about Georgia and UGA.

The collection consists of hundreds of hours of Arnold Michaelis' audio, film, and video interviews with the world's leading political and cultural personalities recorded since 1958. Martin Luther King, Jr., Adlai Stevenson, Dean Rusk, Ronald Reagan, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Indira Gandhi are just a few of the men and women interviewed by Mr. Michaelis in their own homes. Arnold Michaelis sought "to record for today and posterity, the flavor of the thinking and the essence of the ideas of the men and women whose lives will be studied by future generations." The bulk of the collection is made up of films, television programs, and radio programs that Michaelis produced, and elements used in those productions. The majority of the audiotapes in the collection consist of interviews, edited and unedited, with celebrities and political figures.

The collection consists of audio recordings and segments of various programs penned by Sloane, as well as recordings of some of his lectures, interviews, and phone conferences. Among the programs available are The Right to Live (1947, NBC) and Joy of Bach (1978). The only videocassette in the collection is a recording of part one of Kids Like These.

This collection contains approximately 2000 1/4" open reels and cartridges (or carts) from the University of Georgia student-run radio station WUOG. The recordings run from 1973 until approximately 2003 and contain original programs and recordings. Some of the programs in the collection feature performances by REM, the B52s, Pylon, and Love Tractor, among others.

The collection consists of home movies depicting the Adkins farm in Cordele, Georgia. Scenes include cotton in 1976; corn and peanut planting; and footage of a backhoe.

The collection consists of footage taken from a trip to Barcelona and Costa Brava, Spain, and other family footage taken in Macon, Georgia upon their return from the trip. Much of the footage of Spain is of Bernard's daughters and includes their first communions and various birthday parties. Also included are shots of street festivals, a Palm Sunday festival, and northern Spain (including Viella and the border of France).

The collection consists of home movies of the Berry family, who lived in Pennsylvania. Included is footage of their home life, including birthdays, holidays, scenes of children playing and dinner parties; family trips and vacations to many locations including Atlantic City, deserts in the western United States, Disneyland in California (some footage of various rides is included), Yosemite National Park, and Busch Gardens in Florida; and other significant events in their lives.

The collection consists of home movies of the Cearley family. Included are scenes of Georgia, California, Idaho, Dallas, Galveston, Fort Worth, Hawaii, Okinawa, and Oklahoma.

The collection consists of 8mm home movies from the Dunn family depicting Mexico and the Yucatan, California, Georgia, the Everglades and Jekyll Island. Also included is footage of a wedding.

The collection consists of Harlan family home movies featuring a California vacation, a new baby, Christmas celebrations, New York City, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Washington (D.C.), a prom, and a graduation.

The collection consists of home movies from the Powell family, including footage of their home, the outdoors, children playing, camping trips to Roosevelt State Park, Buffalo Camp in Blairsville, Pine Mountain, Dublin and Davis Lake, putting together a pop-up camper, swimming and boating lakeside, a hospital, flowers, skydiving, dogs, kittens playing, and winter snow at the family home. Also included is travel footage of locations such as Murphy, North Carolina, where they viewed the "world's largest ten commandments;" Cypress Gardens in Florida; Looking Glass Falls; Pisgah National Forest; Busch Gardens in Florida; Grandview Overlook; New River Gorge National Park; and Grandfather Mountain Mile High Swinging Bridge.

The collection consists of home movies from the Rossiter family of Savannah, Georgia. There is footage of a St. Patrick's Day parade in Savannah, as well as movies of the family having a picnic and playing on the beach. Also included is footage of travel in Europe; locations include Luzern, Paris, East Berlin, West Berlin, Venice, Travis Field, Ireland and England.

The collection consists of home movies from the Sparks family, including Jackson Gillen Sparks, Rosa Gillen Sparks, Francis Linton Sparks, Sr., Maybell Sparks and Francis Linton Sparks, Jr. The movies were shot in Warrenton, Georgia; at the Citadel in South Carolina; and in Florida. Included is footage of Warrenton homes, gardens and residents; a family vacation to Marineland, Florida; swimming in the family pool; a 1938 "Kiddie Parade"; and the site of a February 1938 plane crash near Warrenton that killed a US Department of Labor mediator en route to Puerto Rico. The movies were at least partially filmed by Francis Linton Sparks, Sr.

The collection consists of home movies from Sanford Head and his family and friends. The footage mostly consists of travel footage; there are shots of West Virginia, England, Scotland, Paris and Burma, among other places. There is also footage of various family members and friends, and summer activities such as waterskiing and swimming.

For 35 years, Foxfire has been collecting history of the Southern Appalachian region, its people, and their ways of life. Starting with the publication of the first issue of The Foxfire Magazine in March 1967, Foxfire students have collected over 2,500 hours of taped interviews, more than 80,000 black and white negatives and photos, over 10,000 color slides, and 1,100 videotaped interviews with the elders of the Appalachian region. A unique feature of the audiotaped, videotaped, and photographic collections is that the information was collected by high school students, transcribed for the most part by hand, and published in The Foxfire Magazine and book series. The archives include a large amount of data never published.

The collection consists of 50 years of radio, television and film productions, papers, and photographs documenting the founding and growth of Protestant Radio and Television Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Consists of over 1,600 film canisters containing multiple reels of raw news footage from WALB-TV Channel 10 in Albany, Georgia. Footage includes Martin Luther King, Jr. during the Albany Movement in 1961-62, as well as demonstrations surrounding his appearances and arrest there. Politicians appearing include Jimmy Carter, Sam Nunn, Herman Talmadge, Lester Maddox, Carl Sanders, George Wallace, Richard Russell, and Richard Nixon. Footage also contains Vietnam-era events in the region, local 1976 Bicentennial events coverage, coverage of the Georgia State Legislature, and many local topics such as agricultural issues, city commission meetings and human interest stories. No finished broadcast programs are included.
