The collection consists of a taped oral interview with Major General Gilbert Xavier Cheves by Robert Scott Davis, Jr., November 8, 1984. The interviews include anecdotes and brief personal remembrances of Sylvanious Morris, dean of the University of Georgia Law School, and of such World War II personalities as Adna R. Chaffee, Ibn Saud, George S. Patton, Claire L. Chennault, Joseph W. Stilwell, Chaing Kai-shek, Dwight David Eisenhower, Grant Taylor, and others. A particularly interesting account of the Patton slapping incident is included.


The collection consists of 17 videotapes of interviews of North East Georgia Chapter 513 of the Military Order of the Purple Heart members relating to their war experiences and how they received their purple heart. The conflicts in which they participated included World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War.

In 2001, Lisa Friedman York met W.W. Law and was inspired to create a documentary about his life. This collection comprises recorded interviews with Mr. Law and other Savannah area leaders, conducted by historian Cliff Kuhn, recorded for that purpose. The documentary has not been completed. Interviewees include: W.W. Law, Aaron Buschbaum, Dr. Clyde W. Hall, Edna Branch Jackson, Ida Mae Bryant, Rev. Edward Lambrellis, Richard Shinholster, Tessie Rosanna Law, Dr. Amos C.
