Summary: "The Virginia Tech shooting was the worst mass shooting in American history. Dozens of innocent lives were taken in this senseless act and CBS News was there to provide complete coverage. CBS News coverage began with special reports that aired though out the day with anchor Russ Mitchell and continued with a several days of one hour editions of the Evening News with Katie Couric. Katie reported from various locations in Blacksburg, VA including the campus of VA Tech.
