Biographical Note: The University of Georgia Botanical Garden was created in 1968. In 1984 it was renamed as the State Botanical Garden of Georgia and is a unit of the University of Georgia's Office of Public Service and Outreach. The Garden contains eleven botanical and horticultural collections with about 5 miles of nature trails.
