Scope and Content Note: Multiple copies of the 1962 film "Miss Smith of Georgia"
Biographical Note: Lillian Smith was born in 1897 and died in 1966. She was an author, lecturer, human rights advocate. She mainly resided in Georgia. She was one of the first prominent white Southerners to stand against segregation. She wrote the novel, Strange Fruit, to much acclaim, as well as Killers of the Dream.
